Building Process

Step 1 – Custom Home Site Selection

The process of building a custom home with Noble Classic Homes begins by meeting with John Michaels to discuss your dream home project. If you already own land, this meeting may take place at the site of your new home. If you are still looking for the perfect lot on which to build, Noble Classic Homes can help. We have great relationships with realtors in the area who can help you look for property. Additionally, Noble Classic Homes has several lots to choose from in the best locations. Selecting the site for your Noble Classic Home is the most important decision you will make in the building process because each piece of land is different and will ultimately affect the floor plan and elevation of your new home. Whether you own land or are still looking, be assured that we will do everything possible to protect and enhance the natural beauty of your property.

Step 2 – Custom Home Design

buildingprocessOur customers come to us at every stage of the design process. If you already have a set of plans, we welcome the opportunity to review them from a builders’ perspective. If your dream home is yet to be designed, we will work closely with an architect of your choosing to create a unique floor plan based on your needs, wants, and lifestyle. Each home we build is unique; if you can dream it, we can build it! Together, with your architect, we will turn your sketches, magazine clippings, and dreams into your dream home. Once the plans for your new home are finalized, Noble Classic Homes will provide you with a detailed estimate and contract for the construction of your dream home. If you need financing, we have relationships with several reputable lenders and mortgage brokers in the area.

Step 3 – Custom Home Finish Out

With your plans in hand, it’s time to start choosing the interior and exterior finishes for your new custom home. You may choose your own designer or one of our in-house designers. Susan Folmer and Carlene Gallagher, our designers, are both experts in the selection of electrical and plumbing fixtures, appliances, paint, flooring, cabinetry, trim, and hardware. Our designers look forward to helping you design a home that reflects your personality. So, this is the time to start clipping pictures from design magazines and let your imagination roam. We set ourselves apart from other custom homebuilders by offering a level of customization limited only by your budget and imagination. Our designers shop for antique, one-of-a-kind light fixtures, hardware, stained glass, columns and corbels, ironwork, and other design items and make them available to our customers to use in the construction of their homes. Susan has an ability to mix the old with the new to create an atmosphere of unparalleled comfort and elegance. Incorporating reclaimed materials into the construction of your new home not only results in a truly unique home, but also one that is environmentally friendly. Noble Classic Homes cares about the environment. All of our Project Managers are NAHB Certified Green Builders and, as such, are experts in the selection of green building materials.

Step 4 – Custom Home Building

As the construction of your home begins, you will work closely with one of our Project Managers. He will be on your home site every day, supervising the construction and execution of the building design. All of our Project Managers say that the favorite part of their jobs is getting to know our customers and watching everyone’s excitement grow as the home takes shape. Your Noble Classic Homes Project Manager will be sure to involve you in every step of the building process and make sure that your experience is a wonderful one.

Step 5 – Custom Home Completion

A Homeowner Orientation will be scheduled when your custom home is complete. This is an opportunity for John Michaels and your Project Manager to highlight the features of your new home, familiarize you with your home’s maintenance and care, and answer any questions that you may have. You will also receive a copy of your Bonded Builders Warranty and Noble Classic Homeowner’s Manual. Your Noble Classic Home was constructed to exacting specifications that exceed industry standards and built to stand the test of time. In order to earn your referral, we are committed to providing you with extraordinary customer care before, during, and after the completion of your Noble Classic Home. If you can dream it, we can build it.
